Mistletoe (Viscum album) is an evergreen plant belonging to the sandalwood family (Santalaceae). It is also known by common names such as mistletoe, mistletoe, and birdlime. Mistletoe is native to Europe, Northwest Africa, and West and Central Asia. It is a semi-parasitic plant that grows on various types of trees and shrubs, where it extracts water and minerals while photosynthesizing.
Throughout the centuries, mistletoe has become deeply intertwined with legends, rituals, and symbolism. Druids considered mistletoe growing on an oak tree sacred and associated it with the new year, fertility, and prosperity.

The lime tree (Tilia) is native to the Benelux and is known for its remarkable lifespan, which can easily exceed 1000 years. This majestic tree can reach a height of 20 to 30 meters, depending on its growing conditions. The Latin name for the lime tree is Tilia.
Although the lime tree is widespread in Europe, it is not found in the northernmost and southernmost parts of the continent. Outside Europe, the lime is also found in parts of Asia, but to a much lesser extent.
The tree blooms in the months of June and July. The lime blossom produces a lot of honey, and the flowers can be used to make herbal tea.

Usnea barbata, sometimes also called 'old man's beard', is a genus of lichens belonging to the ascomycetes. They are found in moist forests around the world, where they usually hang from tree branches. In rare cases they are also found on the bottom or on rocks. The genus belongs to the family of Parmeliaceae. Beard mosses are characterized by a shrub-like structure and a central axis from which branches arise. In areas free of air pollution they can grow 10 to 20 cm tall.

Pau d’arco (Tabebuia avellanedae) is a tree native to the Amazon region. Traditionally, the inner layer of the bark is primarily used. This bark has a long history within various cultures in South America.
Pau d’arco bark naturally contains various plant compounds, including flavonoids and quinones. More than twenty different quinone compounds have been identified in the bark, including lapachol and beta-lapachone. These compounds contribute to the characteristic composition of pau d’arco.
Pau d’arco is traditionally made into tea or other herbal preparations and is valued for its natural origins and rich plant profile.

Siberian ginseng (Eleutherococcus senticosus) is a shrubby plant native to parts of Russia, China, Korea, and Japan. The plant belongs to the Araliaceae family and is botanically related to, but distinct from, the better-known Panax species such as Korean ginseng (Panax ginseng) and American ginseng (Panax quinquefolius).
The roots of Siberian ginseng have long been mentioned in East Asian and Russian botanical literature. These historical and cultural sources describe the plant as part of traditional practices. This long history of use has also led to Siberian ginseng becoming known beyond its native range.

Eucalyptus belongs to the myrtle family (Myrtaceae) and is native to Australia and adjacent areas. A few specimens were brought to Europe by Joseph Banks during Captain Cook's expedition.
In Europe, eucalyptus is primarily planted in the Mediterranean region. Some species can also grow on the west coast of England and Scotland, although only a few are winter-hardy.
Early oil is extracted from the leaves of several eucalyptus species. The best-known species for this purpose are Eucalyptus globulus and Eucalyptus odorata.

Epimedium, commonly known as fairy flower, is a genus of approximately 25 species of perennial plants in the barberry family (Berberidaceae). These plants are native to southern Europe and parts of Asia, including Central, South, and East Asia.
Epimedium species are perennial and have striking, graceful flowers that appear in spring or early summer. The delicate, spidery flowers consist of four petals and add a unique touch to any garden.
In China, the plant is known as "yin yang huo." According to ancient stories, it was given this name after a goat herder noticed his animals eating the plant.

The marigold, or Calendula officinalis, belongs to the Asteraceae family (Compositae) and is often cultivated in ornamental gardens. It originates from Southern Europe.
It is an annual plant with usually orange flowers, sometimes yellow, that can reach a height of 30–45 cm. The flowering period runs from May to November, and the fruits are often curved and boat-shaped.
Both fresh and dried flowers can be used in soups and as a natural coloring for cheese, butter, and other foods. Historically, the petals were also used to simulate saffron.
In addition, marigold petals are used in products such as ointments and tinctures. The flowers contain essential oils that are used in the processing of these products.

Rosae damascena, also known as the damask rose, is a versatile flower with many names, including the Iranian rose, Bulgarian rose, Taif rose, Ispahan rose and Castile rose.
These flowers are known for their delicate fragrance and are grown commercially for rose oil, both "rose otto" and "rose absolute", which is widely used in perfumery. They are also used to make rose water and "rose concrete". The petals are even edible and are used to flavor dishes, as a garnish, to make herbal tea and to preserve gulkand in sugar. Moreover, the damask rose is the national flower of Iran.
