Glutathione

Glutathione is a tripeptide consisting of the amino acids glutamic acid, glycine and cysteine. It functions as a powerful antioxidant and neutralizes free radicals. This essential compound is found in all our cells, tissues, body fluids and organ systems, so it is present virtually everywhere in our body.
Physical exercise increases glutathione levels in the blood and skeletal muscles. However, intensive sports activity also consumes a lot of glutathione.
